In the Philippine secondhand marketplace, where online scams are common, Bayni connects neighbors at the barangay level with AI scam screening and trust scoring built into the foundation of the platform.

[ Core Features ]

• AI Scam Prevention — Every listing is automatically screened before posting for fake brands, suspicious pricing, and scam-related keywords. During chats, the app can also provide real-time warnings when it detects requests for GCash advance payments or bank account numbers.

•  Suki Score — A trust score based on reviews and transaction history. It localizes the gradual reputation-building concept of Karrot’s “Manner Temperature” into the Filipino culture of “Suki,” or trusted regular customers.

• Barangay-Level Trading — Exact GPS locations are kept private. Only neighborhood-level location information is shared, and users are encouraged to meet in safe public places for in-person transactions.

• Complete In-App Transaction Flow — Chat, price offers, and meetup arrangements can all be handled inside the app.

• Neighborhood Community Board — Local news, lost and found posts, free sharing, and community polls.
