Blyp

Blyp is a screen recorder for the things you would otherwise explain in writing: a product demo, a walkthrough for a new hire, a bug report for an engineer, an async update for the team.

The problem.

• Screen recordings are either raw and hard to follow, or they need an editor and a render before anyone sees them. So people write three paragraphs instead, and the person reading them still cannot see what happened.

The solution.

• Record one pass with your screen, camera and voice. With the Chrome extension, every click you make becomes a zoom and your pointer is redrawn smooth, so the plain take comes out looking edited. Stop, and the link is ready: it plays in any browser, no account needed, with captions, comments and emoji reactions.

What is different.

• The edit is not burned into the video. It is a few kilobytes of JSON kept beside the file and applied when the video plays. So you can trim a false start, cut a stretch, move a zoom, hide a password or reframe your camera months later, and the link you already sent updates instantly with nothing re-rendered. You see who watched and how far they got. Revoke a link and it stops within seconds. A take even survives the browser closing mid-recording.

The notes write themselves.

• Once a Blyp has captions, a model reads the transcript and writes a summary, the steps you showed, each bug with steps to reproduce and expected versus actual, and the action items with whoever you named. Every line links to its moment in the video. Bugs and action items are checkboxes, and the ticks are shared with everyone who has the link, so a bug report becomes a small tracker. You can correct or remove any line, add your own, and copy the whole list as Markdown into an issue. The zooms and the edit are arithmetic, not AI; the notes are the one place a model is used, and they say so.
