About Gabay

The problem

Payslip deductions are a black box. You get a number with no reasoning, and no way to tell whether ₱1,620 for SSS is correct or ₱120 too much. Government offices are worse — people take a day off work, queue, and get sent home over a laminated birth certificate or a missing parental advice that nobody warned them about.

What Gabay does

Gabay means guide. Three jobs:

Checks your payslip. Enter what it says beside what the law gives, and get a line-by-line difference for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax and net pay — with the common innocent explanations for each gap, so you can ask HR a precise question instead of a suspicious one.

Tells you what to bring. Twelve government transactions — PSA, NBI, passport, PhilSys, licence, TIN, business permit and more — each with a checklist that saves as you gather documents over days.

Tells you what you're owed. Six statutory leaves, senior and PWD discount rules including the VAT treatment retail gets wrong, contract red flags, PhilHealth benefits, and an OFW recruiter check.

What's unique

Free calculators are everywhere. None of them show their work.

Every result renders as an itemised ledger with the rule cited beside each line — so an HR officer can defend the number, and an employee can challenge a wrong deduction and point at the schedule it came from. No bare numbers anywhere in the app.

And every government transaction carries a "why people get turned away" section: the field nobody publishes and everybody needs.

Everything compiles into the app — no backend, no account, no analytics, no network calls at all. It works on one bar of signal in a government queue, which is exactly when you need it.
