Generic gradient generators can make a pretty background, but they do not understand where your headline, logo, or subject needs to go. Murphy Nimbus is a free, browser-based creative studio built for making backgrounds that know what they are for.

Its first released tool, Mesh Gradient, lets you shape color fields directly, reserve quiet or focal areas for content, and remix palettes, layouts, shapes, and finishes while pinning the parts you want to keep. Change from a landscape banner to a 9:16 story and the composition adapts instead of simply stretching.

Everything runs locally in your browser: no account, backend, or uploads. Work autosaves on your device, can be shared through a link, and exports at full document resolution as PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
