About Opius

Opius

Opius is an open-source AI-powered developer workspace that brings AI coding agents, terminals, project memory, Git, and web browsing into one unified desktop environment.

Instead of constantly switching between terminals, AI coding tools, Git clients, documentation, and browser tabs, Opius gives developers a single workspace where everything they need to build software can live together.

With support for multiple AI coding agents running side-by-side, developers can work with different agents, models, and tools within the same project. Each terminal can be configured independently, making it easier to compare approaches, delegate tasks, and keep development moving without constantly changing applications.

Opius also introduces Memory Vault, a project-local knowledge system built around Markdown. Your project's knowledge lives directly inside the workspace through a .memory vault, making context readable, portable, version-controllable, and accessible to your AI agents. Memories can be connected through Wikilinks and explored visually through a constellation view.

For version control, Opius includes built-in Git integration, allowing developers to view changes, stage files, commit, push, inspect branches, and review repository activity without leaving the workspace.

Opius also includes a built-in browser, allowing developers to research documentation, inspect websites, and reference online resources without breaking their development flow by switching to another application.

The result is a development environment designed around one simple idea

One workspace. Multiple agents. Everything you need to build.
