Pragma is a desktop app where every chat in your list is a real AI agent. Spin one up for operations, another for research, another for code, and message each one like a colleague.

A local model that can actually do things

Most local models can only chat. Pragma gives yours tools, a computer, a browser and your connected apps, so what it can do is limited only by how smart it is.

1. One click, nothing else to install. Pragma downloads an open model and runs it on your own graphics card. Choose Qwen3.5 9B or 4B, each with a 128K context window, and Pragma tells you before downloading whether it fits your card. Or bring any GGUF model from Hugging Face or your own drive. You don't need Ollama, LM Studio or a subscription.
2. Real tools, not just text. Your local model runs inside Claude Code, Codex or Qwen, so it can run shell commands and read, write and edit files like a coding agent.
3. Its own computer. Give a bot this PC, a throwaway local virtual machine, or a cloud desktop, with a browser to work in. Watch it click through, or take the controls.
4. Your apps, once. Connect Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Notion and 500+ more one time, and every bot can use them, local ones included.
5. Built so a small model keeps its head. Pragma sends a local model only the 14 tools a bot needs instead of 66, which frees about 20,000 tokens. It trims connected-app results down to what matters, and tells the model how much room it really has.
6. Pull the cable, keep working. Local bots keep answering with no internet, and every transcript stays on your disk.

Why it's different

1. It runs on your machine. One small harness on 127.0.0.1 runs every agent. Transcripts, keys and history stay in ~/.pragma, not in somebody else's cloud.
2. Bring the agent you already pay for. Bots also run on the Claude, Codex, Qwen and Grok CLIs on your computer, with your own logins. No proxy, no second bill.
3. A different brain for every job. Switch a bot's model mid-thread, local or cloud, and the conversation keeps going.
