RoomGuard-X

RoomGuard-X is a real-time presence detection system built with Python, 

YOLOv8, and OpenCV. It watches your webcam feed, detects when a person 

enters the room, and sends instant alerts — a native Windows notification 

plus a push notification (with photo) to your own Discord server.

Every install uses its own Discord webhook, configured locally by the 

user — no data is ever sent to a central server or to the developer. 

Detection runs 100% on-device.

Built as a personal project (X Series, Project 1) with a full custom 

HUD interface, system tray integration, dark/light themes, and 

continuous snapshot logging.
