By removing the friction of traditional mapping software, RoutePOV acts as a dedicated digital reconnaissance tool, giving users a precise visual understanding of what lies ahead.

Zero-Storage Privacy Architecture: Built with data security at its core, GPX files are processed entirely in-memory server-side. Route coordinates are extracted to build the interactive 3D environment and discarded instantly. No files are written to disk, no databases are used, and no logs or routes are stored.

Seamless Global Performance: Utilizing open-source global elevation data, the app covers the entire planet—from local trails to remote mountain ranges like the Alps or Andes. Terrain tiles are preloaded along the route before playback begins to ensure smooth, uninterrupted camera movement without loading pauses.

How It Works

Upload: Drop a standard .gpx file exported from any major ecosystem (including Garmin, Strava, Suunto, or Komoot). No account creation or sign-in is required.

Parse: The application securely parses the file server-side, extracting the necessary coordinates entirely in-memory.

Preview: The path is immediately rendered over cached 3D elevation tiles, allowing you to hit play and experience your route from start to finish.
